For a patient suffering from terminal illness like advanced stage cancer, palliative care is the only way to improve the quality of life by easing their pain and providing emotional and spiritual support. Palliative care is a holistic approach of care involving doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, counsellors etc. It is resource intensive as well, in terms of medical equipment, consumables and logistic support.
